I think the M14 is my favorite battle rifle of all time, been in service since 1959.

M14 EBR is Army designation. Mk14 Mod 0/1 is Navy designation. M39 EMR is Marine designation.

Oh, really? I only knew about the Navy variant. Thanks for the explanation. The Marines got it, too, thought they went for a different rifle.
