what is the military doing over there? if you can convince me with some civilized and intelligent response, then, there would not be any response at all because there would not be this to express it...unless they are working for a world where those who need help get their help by their means, not just those who control us...those in the "evil side" or those in the "good side" who decide where to go and what to kill in order to survive another day in this created civilization founded by death and terror...the basic human instinct...
I'm not a hundred percent sure, but one theory is that, there their to act as bait. in other words, to eliminate as many "evil" guys as possible. That's the only logical thing I can think of at the top of my head.
That's a rough life. You get to live in some really breath-taking scenery, but you probably don't get many oppotunities to enjoy it, being as the deployed life is pretty much a 24 hour a day job.
...Oh, and the getting-shot-at part is pretty bad too
